How to set up your A&D monitor

Before you begin: Make sure you have your medical record number (MRN) ready. If you can’t find it, email us at remoteheart@partners.org or call (617) 525-9940 (select option 4).

Step 1. Turn on Bluetooth on your smart device

Tip: To find Bluetooth info, look in the Settings app on your smart device or in the pull-down/up menu.

Step 2. Download the PGHD Connect app onto your smart phone/tablet

Tip: Search for the "PGHD Connect" in Google Play (Android) or the app store (Apple).

Step 3. Create an account on the PGHD Connect app

  • Select "Register Now" on the login screen and enter the requested information.
  • Select "Brigham and Woman’s Hospital" regardless of where your PCP is located.
  • Enter your BWH Medical Record Number (MRN). If you can’t find it, call (617) 525-9940 (select option 4).
  • Check the box to confirm you have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
  • Scroll down and click "Submit" to finish the registration process.

Step 4. Sync the device

  • Read through the Overview or click "Skip".
  • Click the orange plus (+) sign to add a device.
  • Click "Blood Pressure".
  • Select "A&D Deluxe Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor" by clicking "+Add".
  • Click "Pair" to sync the monitor to your smart device, then click "Proceed".

Step 5. Pair your blood pressure monitor with the PGHD Connect app.

  1. Make sure your blood pressure monitor is out and ready to use.
  2. Open the PGHD Connect app on your phone and keep it close to the blood pressure monitor.
  3. Hold the "Start" button until you see the letters "Pr" on the monitor screen.
  4. When you see "Pr" on the screen, stop pressing the "Start" button.
  5. You’ll see the word "SEE" while the device is connecting with the PGHD Connect app.
  6. When you see the word "End" on the screen, your monitor is connected to the app.

Step 6. Take your blood pressure

Please take your blood pressure on schedule, following our tips. Each time you take your blood pressure, make sure the PGHD Connect app is open on your phone. Keep your phone close to the blood pressure monitor.

Your blood pressure should automatically appear in the PGHD Connect app.

To view your blood pressure in the PGHD Connect app, click on the picture of your blood pressure monitor.
